CURWENSVILLE, CLEARFIELD COUNTY -- Police are searching for a bank robber in Clearfield County who could be responsible for a string of armed robberies in our region.

A man walked into the Clearfield Bank and Trust at about 1 p.m. Monday. We're told he had a gun in the waistband of his shorts. He demanded money, got it, and ran off.

Investigators say it may be the same man who robbed the Dollar General in Clymer, Indiana County with a gun on June 30th, the S & T Bank in DuBois with a knife on July 12th and the Community First Bank in Punxsutawney on July 21st. A man with a similar description robbed Nic's Tobacco Outlet in Punxsutawney Sunday morning. He showed a gun there. Two-and-a-half hours later, a man fitting that description walked into the Dollar General in Homer City. He pulled a small gun from his waistband and waved it around.

Again, police think it could be the same man that committed all six of these robberies. The FBI is involved in the investigation but they need your help. Please contact your local police department if you have details about any of these robberies or the man who committed them.
