Amy Gill comes to WTAJ as the Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter in August 2012.
Amy Gill - WTAJ SportsAmy Gill comes to WTAJ as the Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter.  She comes to the area from Twin Falls, Idaho where she spent two years as the Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter.  During her time in Twin Falls, Amy was the 2010 Idaho Press Club Rookie of the Year.  She covered high school, junior college and 4-year college sports - as well as many outdoor sports.

Before her time in Idaho, Amy worked and interned at several stations in Fresno, California, her hometown.  She is a graduate of San Francisco State, with a degree in Radio and Television.

In her free time, Amy enjoys cooking, shopping, working out, traveling and visiting home whenever she can.

Amy looks forward to covering Penn State, Pittsburgh teams, and all the high schools in the area.  She is always interested in story ideas, so send her an e-mail at agill@wtajtv.com

What is one thing on your bucket list?
To go skydiving

What is one thing about you most people would be surprised by?
I really love to cook... when I have the time.

Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco Giants

What is your favorite hobby?
Traveling and exploring cities

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
Hopefully still doing sports, and with a family

What was your most memorable interview/weather event/sporting event?
Covering state basketball tournaments in Idaho... it's always hectic going from game to game.

What was your first job?
Worked at an ice cream shop
