ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Senator Pat Toomey was in town and talked about the Affordable Care Act debate.

The President met with insurance commissioners to convince them to adopt a new change to his Affordable Care Act. Meanwhile, the House passed their own fix to the plan.

Senator Toomey spoke with veterans and local republican leaders Friday. He said he doesn’t think ACA can be fix and it needs to be repealed and Congress should start over.

Meanwhile the President talked with CEO's of some of the largest health providers asking them to support his plan to give people back their policies that were canceled because of his law.

Toomey doesn't see how this will work because he doesn’t know if those plans can be brought back.
On the same day the US House of Representatives passed their own bill to fix that problem. They say the president might not have the legal right to make the change he did. So their bill would expand what kind of plan insurers can offer.

But democratic leaders say they're trying to destroy the federal health care exchanges.
