2013 Look Back: Dawn Joins "Hair Force One"

A second look at the time Dawn joined the local '80's hair metal band "Hair Force One".

A second look at the time Dawn joined the local '80's hair metal band "Hair Force One".
Dawn takes a trip back to the days when '80's hair metal was hot! She joins a local band, based out of Blair County. "Hair Force One" has been around since the '80's. They're a tribute band that plays all the hits from the decade of decadence and they were ready to give Dawn a crash course in Glam Rock 101.

The guys helped Dawn learn the "rock face" for her on stage debut. Then, they taught her how to master the mic stand maneuvers. Finally, she learned the instrument she'd play for her live performance: The tambourine!

After getting a thumbs up from the band on her tambourine work, the guys decided she couldn't go on stage with them without a mega metal makeover.

Watch this story to see the band pick Dawn's stage outfit and give her a big hair band look that even the guys from "Poison" might be jealous of!

You'll also see the live performance from Hair Force One with their new band member, recorded at The Altoona Railroaders Museum.

Want to see Hair Force One play live? Or, do you want to book them for a private party or event? Check the band out online!

Dawn thanks Gig Box Music in Duncansville for allowing her to use their stage for band practice in this story. If you want to live your "on stage" dream and play for a local crowd, check out the Gig Box Music Open mic Nights, held the first Thursday of the month at Gig Box Music in Duncansville (next to The Meadows). Dawn also sends out a special thank you to the guys of "Hair Force One" for allowing her to join them for an amazing show.
