10 Year Old Plays Santa for Soldiers

10 year Madison Zimmerer decided to forgo her Christmas so she can help others.

This Altoona kid is busy packing up 50 stockings "filled to the gills" with sweet treats, personal care items, pens, writing paper even a hand-made loop bracelet for each soldier.

She had approached her Mom and Dad last Spring saying she didn't want Christmas gifts this year and wanted them to use that money to help others.

She chose to play "Santa" for soldiers.
"The army is really dangerous and scary and I wanted them to make sure they had the food and stuff that they needed."

She's enlisted the help of family and friends to pack this all up this weekend and they'll be heading to security force squadron in Afghanistan.
