You're not exactly playing for a Lombardi Trophy in August, but it's still nice to start things off on the right foot.

The Steelers had a few big plays, but it just wasn't enough as they fell to the Giants, 20-16.

The black and gold started the scoring with a Shawn Suisham field goal.

That field goal came thanks to a big catch and run by Dri Archer.

But New York answered quickly, when Rashad Jennings broke free for a 73 yard touchdown run.

The Steelers would trail 13-3 at half.

But things would turn around in the 4th quarter.

Howard Jones would pick up a lateral pass that was broken up and take it in for a touchdown, giving Pittsburgh a 16-13 lead.

But the Giants would punch another in with less than 3 minutes left in the game to secure a 20-16 win.
