State College Edged by West Virginia Powerhouse

STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY – State College (1-2) led with just a little more than a minute remaining in the game, but a late touchdown pushed Martinsburg (W. Va.) past the Little Lions 35-29 Friday night.

State High quarterback Patrick Irwin threw for 144 yards with a score, adding 129 rushing yards and another touchdown. Little Lion senior Anthony Paffie-Misher notched an interception and a rushing and receiving touchdown.

State College starts Mid-Penn league play Saturday with a trip to Harrisburg.
