I'm talking about a squad who put up 35 or more points in nine games a season ago.
The Portage Mustangs are once again ready to roll offensively after making it to the second round of the playoffs in 2013.
Gary Gouse's squad returns four of its top five scorers from last year.
That attack starting in the backfield junior Luke Dividock and senior Caleb Kephart provide a strong one-two punch.
Kephart is aiming for his third straight thousand-yard rushing season.
"His nickname's the Energizer Bunny,” senior QB Michael Bryja says of Kephart. “He brings an unreal amount of energy to every game and even at practice. He's just always flying around. You can hand it to him and he'll just - misdirection all day."
"He's a great athlete - probably one of the best in the area,” Gouse adds. “And we really look forward to watching him play. And our kids really rally around him. So we're really excited for Caleb and I think Caleb's so gracious, he's really excited for the rest of us too."
The mustangs know if they get their defense to the level of their attack, the District 6 A title is within reach.
