10-year-old Brent Zierer stole the show, scoring his first TD as a member of the Red Flash.

LORETTO, CAMBRIA COUNTY - It was a beautiful day in Loretto for the Saint Francis University annual spring game on Saturday, the red team came away with a 27-14 victory in an exciting contest.
The game format saw two 40-minute periods each with a running clock, except on special team plays. After the first 40 minutes a two-minute drill was ran by both the red and white teams.
Max Ward started the scoring for the white team as he connected with Will Martin for a 19-yard touchdown with 10 minutes to play in the opening half. Lance Geesey made the extra point and team white led 7-0.
Geesey then hit a 39-yard field goal for the red team as the regulation time in the first half expired. Kadarrius Campbell scored a five-yard touchdown during the extra two-minute style possession and gave the red squad its first lead of the game (10-7).
In the second half of play, Ward hit Matt Valenzuela for a 54-yard score to regain the lead for the white team, 14-10.
Campbell then broke free for a 69 yard run for the red team to set up a 28-yard Geesey field goal. The red team trailed by just one (14-13) with less than 20 minutes to play.
Zach Drayer found Terell Smith for a six-yard score with 13:15 to go and gave the lead back to the red team, 20-14 after a Geesey extra point.
Capri Thompson then found Smith three minutes later, this time for a 70-yard strike and the red team took a 27-14 lead, which ended up being the final score.
Will Martin finished with five receptions to lead the white team, while Dylan Bear added six tackles on the defensive side.
Be on the look out for the 2014 Saint Francis U football schedule, which will be released later in April.
