PHILIPSBURG - A local town welcomed home a famous son.

There are red and white ribbons on trees all throughout Philipsburg. And if you look closely at some of the bushes you can even spot a cardinal.

Matt Adams came home to Philipsburg after playing in the World Series in his first year in the majors. Now there are signs up on street corners throughout his hometown. Even though he was part of the reason the pirates lost the division.

His family joined him on the back of a Hope Fire Company truck as they toured through town. People lined the streets to see Adams pass by. And some of them even became new fans.
