I think he played a little bit too many reps in the game. And we want to make sure that we're keeping him fresh for fourth quarters, but also keep him fresh throughout the year."
As for who could soon see bigger roles on the d-line, Franklin singled out redshirt freshman Parker Cothren and junior college transfer Tarow Barney as players to watch.
