STATE COLLEGE - James Franklin has scored yet another commit this weekend.
Three-star safety Ayron Monroe picks the Nittany Lions over the likes of Maryland, Nebraska, and Iowa to become Penn State's 16th commitment in the class of 2015.
The group ranks second nationally.
And since it's Mother's Day, how about this?
Franklin has made no secret how important his mother, Josie, has been in his life.
Penn State's new head coach says how hard he works comes straight from his mom.
Even though Josie died in 2007, Franklin says he still wakes up every morning trying to make his mom proud.
“She was a custodian at the high school and worked a lot of different jobs,” Franklin says. “But her work ethic and her sense of pride in our family and what we stood for - the work ethic and things like that - that was important to me. It still is to this day."
The head coach hits the road again this week with the Penn State caravan.
Stops in the upcoming days include Philadelphia, Scranton, and New York City.
