The volcano was no match for college football, and with the airlines still flying, Penn State will be too.

James Franklin is also hoping that his defense will be flying- around the field, that is- come Saturday.

Central Florida has a new starting quarterback.

Redshirt freshman Pete DiNovo will get his first college start next weekend.

Coach Franklin thinks his defense will be ready for whatever DiNovo has to offer.

“You look across the board at the guys we have on the field, really all 11 starters and really, some good depth as well in other positions. I think our defense has a chance to play really well, play fast and play with confidence. I think the strength of our D-line, I'm depending on those guys to help the secondary as well," Franklin says.
