STATE COLLEGE - Inside Nittany Nation, Penn State baseball starts Big Ten play this weekend.

The Nittany Lions have won five of their last six games under first-year head coach Rob Cooper.

Penn State's 10 wins this season are just four shy of last year's total with more than half the season left.

Cooper says the key to keeping the success rolling in conference play is consistency, something that's both mental and physical.

“The way you attack it is you just worry about the game in front of front of you,” Cooper says. “If you look at the whole season in Big Ten play as a whole, it can be kind of daunting. So really right now our focus is on Friday against Northwestern."

Game time Friday for the series opener is set for 5:30 p.m. at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
