Malkin has Torn ACL and MCL

(Pittsburgh) - Evgeni Malkin returned to the Penguins line-up Friday night against the Sabres, he was lost for what could be the season, just 27 seconds into the 2nd period.

Dan Bylsma informed the media this morning that Malkin has torn his MCL and his ACL in his right knee.  He will be out for an extended period of time.

Malkin got tangled up with Buffalo defenseman Tyler Myers early in the 2nd period of Friday nights game, he laid in pain on the ice, before being helped up.  He skated to the locker room on his own power.

Malkin and team docters are determining the best option of moving forward, whether it be surgery or rehabilitation.
