The State College Spikes have the second best record in the New York-Penn League and lead the division by seven and a half games.

The Spikes headed back to Medlar Field for the first time since last Monday as they welcomed Mahoning Valley- the league bottom dwellers.

Trey Neilsen started well for the Spikes, He had 4 k's.

The Spikes would strike first- Jake Stone with the RBI single to right field.

But the Scrappers would take control- Leo Castillo would tie the game up later as he singles to make it 1-1.

Same inning, Castillo now on third and the Scrappers don't even lift a bat, the pitch goes flying and Castillo crosses easily and Mahoning Valley grabs a 3-1 win.
