Day 2 of the PGA championship saw record-setting attendance.

The PGA has not released number yet, but one thing is for sure- there were a lot of people at Oak Hill. With so many people showing up, parking became a problem. The shuttle lot at Monroe Community College filled up and was shut down. Drivers were turned away and directed toward other off-site parking. The lot will be back open Wednesday.

Tuesday's attendance exceeded Monday's total crowd by noontime. Monday's attendance, by comparison, was bigger than each of the last three Mondays at the PGA championship. In simple terms, there were lots of golf fans out and about. You could always tell where the players were by the screams and swarms of people around them.

"Huge crowed very huge crowed all the parking lots at MCC were filled and it's, ya know, Rochester came out in full force," Cara Borromei said.

"One of the biggest reasons that the LPGA and other amateur tournaments come to Rochester is because the people of Rochester support golf big time," Jim Buchanan said.
