Ty was caught on-camera during the first game in the series last week celebrating a goal.
His parents have taken him to four hockey games, and his life revolves around hockey.
“We got him for Easter some baseball stuff,” said Ty’s mom Hilary Avolia. “Everything just goes back to hockey.”
Their living room is his arena, his toy lawnmower is his zamboni, and the carpet his ice rink. He also prefers people sing the national anthem before he starts playing.
The Penguins gave Ty’s family tickets for Game 5 of the Penguins/Blue Jackets series. Game 4 is being played in Columbus, and face off is Wednesday evening at 7.
