HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY - The community is rallying behind the victims of last week’s fire in Hollidaysburg.

Ten people lost just about everything they had in a fire that destroyed several buildings Thursday. This Friday crews started tearing down a couple of the buildings that were the most damaged.

The Zion Lutheran Church in Hollidaysburg started collecting clothes for the victims right after the fire. But they got so many donations they decided to hold a yard sale Saturday and give the victims the money.

Audrey Riling is one of the victims of that fire. The night of the fire her biggest fear was her cat wasn't going to survive this fire, but it did. And even though her home is one of the ones being demolished there was a lot of damage and she lost a lot of her clothes and other possessions. She was overwhelmed when she saw everything that was donated, and Saturday she thanked everyone who contributed.

So far the church has raised more than 15 thousand dollars to give to the families.
