CLEARFIELD – PennDOT announced Tuesday the restoration of two-way traffic on two area bridges by the end of the day Wednesday as work to remove them from the county’s list of structurally deficient bridges is completed.

Crews have been working on the bridge spanning White Side Run on Route 153 near Houtzdale and the bridge over Little Muddy Run on Route 253 near Allemans.

The bridges are two of five structures on a $1.8 million bridge preservation contract. The other bridges are two on Route 255 near Penfield and one on Route 729 near Kerrmor.

Temporary traffic signals have been enforcing alternating traffic patterns since May on the bridges over Route 153 and 253.
