Woman faces charges after police say she unintentionally shot boyfriend

An Indiana County woman is facing charges after police said she accidentally shot her boyfriend.

Officers told us Jennifer Neese was driving with her boyfriend when she pulled over along SR 286 and stopped the vehicle in the Purchase Line Elementary School parking lot.

We're told the two then got out of the car and got into a verbal dispute with one another. That's when officials said Neese pulled a loaded .380 caliber pistol from her pocket, pointed it in the victim's direction and unintentionally fired one round.

Officials said the round struck and traveled through the driver's door of the vehicle and then struck the victim's left leg, causing a superficial wound.

The two then drove home and Neese called 911, at which time troopers were dispatched to the residence.

Neese is now in the Indiana County Jail facing charges.

Her preliminary hearing is set for October 12, 2017.
