DUBOIS, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - After two years of going to work in fear, employees at one pharmacy are eager to find the man who robbed their store at gunpoint looking for pills.

District attorney Bill Shaw release the following statement:

Shaw stated that on Monday, October 17, 2011 at approximately 9:35 a.m. the DuBois City Police Department and Sandy Township Police Department were dispatched to Shankel’s Pharmacy for a report of an armed robbery. The actor was described as a white male, 5'10" to 6' tall, mid to late 20's, who was wearing a plain black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and a dark gray bandanna or mask. The male suspect was carrying a handgun that was described as a stainless steel revolver, with a 6"-8" long barrel.

Upon entering Shankel’s Pharmacy, the suspect went behind the counter and ordered everyone to the ground. The suspect then demanded prescription medication from one of the store employees. After the suspect obtained the prescription medication, he then attempted to exit the rear door of the building but could not find the exit door. The suspect then returned to the front area where he grabbed and pulled a female employee to the back of the store and ordered her to unlock the door. The suspect then left the store via the rear door toward Spruce Alley, and fled in an unknown direction.

Shaw reported that the male suspect obtained approximately $5,007.56 worth of prescription medication and that the incident is currently under investigation by the DuBois City Police Department.
