Weapon Hidden in Tobacco Pouch

HOUTZDALE, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - State Police say a man tried to sneak a home made weapon through a prison checkpoint in a tobacco pouch.

It happened Friday afternoon at SCI Houtzdale. State Police say the 28 year old man hid a weapon made from a drywall screw melted into a plastic handle in a tobacco pouch

He tried to get the pouch around the metal detector but a prison guard saw the weapon and took the man to a locked down part of the prison called the Restrictive Housing Unit.
