KARTHAUS, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - Multiple water rescue crews are searching for a man who went missing while canoeing Saturday afternoon.

Officials tell us 12 people from a church group from Southeastern Pennsylvania went out canoeing along the Susquehanna River near Karthaus in Clearfield County.

Three of the canoes tipped. Two people came back up and were able to get to shore safely, but one 19 year old man is still missing. More than 50 rescuers are searching the area and looking along the river bed.

Officials say the river is running around 4 to 6 miles per hour.
