BOALSBURG, CENTRE COUNTY - The Easter Seals of Central PA teamed up with the Pennsylvania Military Museum Saturday for a specials fundraiser.

The 5th annual Walk With Me: Heroes for Heroes event took place in Boalsburg. More than 100 people braved the chilly conditions to take part in the one mile walk designed to help raise money for children and adults with special needs in the State College area. It's an event that has continued to grow each year. Organizers say this is their biggest annual fundraiser and has brought in thousands of dollars for the community.

"This just epitomizes Easter Seals. Easter Seals is all about letting kids with disabilities participate in typical activities and this is people from the community with people with disabilities walking and rolling with the community," Brandy Prevvle says.

The group's goal was to raise $30,000. For more information, or to donate visit their website.
