The Van Zandt VA Medical Center in Altoona earned a 99% rating. That means only one percent of patients had to wait more than 30 days for an appointment.
The Secretary of Veterans Affairs ordered the Veterans Health Administration to conduct an audit in April, after reports of incredibly long wait times at facilities across the country. Secretary Eric Shinseki recently resigned amidst the problems centered around those wait times.
