SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- State Police have filed two search warrants in the death of Amanda Sherry-Griffon.
The 30-year olds body was found in a wooded area off of Grace Street Saturday night.
The Cambria County Coroner did an autopsy Monday morning. He said the victim did not die from any trauma, and is waiting on toxicology reports before making a determination.
“We are currently in the early stages of the investigation that occurred in Susquehanna Township over the weekend,” said Trooper Robert Kunsman.
In a search warrant filed Saturday night shortly after the body was discovered police seized cell phones, clothing items and a purse. In a second search warrant filed Sunday, police said they went to Griffon’s home along Holly Street in Northern Cambria Borough, where a large amount of blood was found in the bathroom. It’s unclear whose blood it was.
The man who lived in the apartment with Griffon was arrested on another incident. Clayton Shultz was wanted on a bench warrant with the Cambria County Sheriffs. He is not charged in connection to the victim’s death.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call State Police in Ebensburg 814-471-6500.
