A drug investigation in St. Marys has led to two arrests.

Police say they recovered 19.5 bricks of heroin during a traffic stop on Saturday evening in the 900 block of South St. Marys Street.

They arrested Joseph Bauer, 32, St. Marys, and through follow-up, also nabbed Timothy Close Jr., 31, of Ridgway, police said.

Police say Bauer was traveling to Pittsburgh for heroin and they'd been watching both men prior to the traffic stop.

Bail was set at $50,000 for each of the two suspects and they were taken to the Elk County Prison.
