WOODBURY TOWNSHIP, BEDFORD COUNTY – Residents of one Bedford County community are set to meet Thursday evening where the issue of unpaid sewage bills is expected to be brought up.
Woodbury Township residents were angry in June when they found out about the lack of bills being collected. The Southern Cove Joint Sewage Authority is currently at least $45,000 in debt.
For the past 9 years, bills were not sent out to customers. At June’s township meeting, board members talked about allowing customers one year’s time to pay back the delinquent bills without any penalties.
Former secretary Kevin Brumbaugh resigned from his role at June’s meeting, but said he would remain on the board.
The meeting is set to begin at 7 p.m.
