JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- A 3-year old Johnstown toddler found a loaded gun in the snow.

It happened on Saturday outside of building 15 in Oakhurst Homes.  Tonisha Green said her kids were playing in the snow when her three year old came running in the house saying they found a gun.

‘I thought it was a toy gun,” said Green.  “Then my son said no it’s like pop’s gun, my dad is a cop so they know what a real gun is.”

Green said she ran outside and sure enough found the black and silver gun.

“Thank God my kids didn’t touch it,” said Green.

This mother stood over the gun making sure no one came near it and called police.

“She did the right thing by calling police,” said Captain Andy Frear.

The gun was found just over the hill from a recent murder.  Police could not confirm if this gun had connection to the case.
