According to police, Altoona Police stopped 30-year-old Joshua Barr shortly before 1 a.m. Friday on suspicion of DUI. When police contacted 19-year-old Shirley Nash they observed a large amount of money and heroin in plain view of the residence.
Officers secured the residence on the second floor of a home on the 2100 block of 18th street and obtained search warrants. Police discovered 237 packets of heroin, $5,000, a stolen 9mm Ruger handgun, an AK-47 assault rifle, ammunition, cocaine, and assorted paraphernalia in the residence.
A third person, 21-year-old Rahim Mobley, was in the house at the time and arrested with the pair. All three have been charged with Criminal Conspiracy and Possession with Intent to Distribute along with other charges. Mobley and Barr have both been charged with Former Convict Not to Possess a Firearm. Barr is also charged with DUI and related summary offenses.
