JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Johnstown Police continue to investigate a weekend murder that left 21- year old Zachary Andrews dead.
Police were first dispatched to Conemaugh Hospital for a gunshot victim before getting rerouted to a report of shots fired. Police found Andrews dead inside of his 710 Grove Avenue home. The shooting happened around six Sunday morning in the city’s Moxham neighborhood.
“He died from multiple gunshot wounds,” said Jeffrey Lees, Cambria County Chief Deputy Coroner. “An autopsy was performed and it was determined to be a homicide.”
A second person that was inside of the home was taken to Conemaugh Hospital their name has not been released.
‘Detectives interviewed him on Sunday,” said Police Chief Craig Foust. “His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.”
One gun was recovered inside of the home Foust said it was not connected to the deadly shooting.
“We have a search warrant and our officers are following up on leads,” said Foust.
So far police said they have no motive and no suspects in the shooting.
“We don’t believe this was a random incident,” said Foust.
