Students held hostage in home invasion

Logan Township, Blair County, Pa. - Police say two men held three victims hostage, with knives to their throats early Tuesday morning in Logan Township.

Police say the incident happened just before 3:30am at a student housing complex on Grandview Road. They say the two suspects went into the home and threatened one of the victims with a knife and asked for another victim by name. After they learned that he was upstairs, they bound that victim's arms behind their back with a belt.

The two suspects eventually fled the scene with $1,200 in cash and in an unknown direction. Police also say they found shell casings outside the home. One of the victims told police that they had fired three rounds into the ground in order to scare the robbers away.

The three victims were treated for minor injuries.  Logan Township police do believe that the house was targeted, and they say that no residents in the area are in any danger.

The investigation is ongoing.
