Steelers Nation reacts to Rooney passing

Pittsburgh Steelers are sharing their feelings after the passing of longtime owner and chairman Dan Rooney. 

He died  April 13. 

Wide Receiver Antonio Brown paid his respect on Instagram, calling him 'one of the most genuine and humble human beings' he's had the pleasure of knowing. 

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger tweeted "I wouldn't be a Steeler if it wasn't for Mr. Rooney."

Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell posted a photo on Twitter, shocked about the news that Rooney passed way. 

On Instagram, Ryan Shazier thanked Rooney for the knowledge and support he gave to him as a player.

Former Steelers coach Bill Cowher tweeted "Rest in Peace Dan" about the man he considered 'a mentor and friend.' 

Rooney spent decades leading diversity efforts in the NFL.
