Police Respond to High School Shooting

UPDATE: Police have charged Anjohnito "A.J." Willett, 16,  with the shooting of three Brashear High School students. It wasn't long after the shooting that several people were taken into custody.  Willett is charged with four counts of criminal attempted homicide, among other charges related to the shooting. According to CBS Pittsburgh, the shooting may be related to an October robbing, but police are still investigating.

PITTSBURGH, ALLEGHENY COUNTY – Pittsburgh Police have responded to Brashear High School to reports of a shooting.

According to CBS Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Police dispatch will only confirm reports of at least three people shot.

Police are searching nearby woods for the shooter, but police have not confirmed if there is more than one shooter.

The victims were taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital and Allegheny General. All are said to have non-life threatening injuries.

Brashear High School is in Beechview and is the largest in the Pittsburgh Public Schools District with around 1,500 students.
