MONONGAHELA, WASHINGTON COUNTY – A passenger on Malaysian Airlines flight 370 is a Pittsburgh resident, according to a release from her company.

Mei Ling Chng of South Park is a process engineer at the Monongahela location of Flexsys America LP.

A spokeswoman for the company said an email was sent out to employees, letting them know their coworker was aboard the missing flight.

Neighbors say Chng had only lived in her South Park home for a few months and had not gotten to know them well.

Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 disappeared early Saturday morning while flying form Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 people on board. Dozens of aircraft and 40 ships from 10 countries are searching for any sign of the aircraft.
