Four dead in Armstrong County crash

SOUTH BEND TOWNSHIP, ARMSTRONG COUNTY – Four people were killed and three injured in a Wednesday evening crash along Route 156.

According to CBS Pittsburgh, investigators believe a Ford Mustang crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Lumina.

Three people in the Mustang were killed, along with the woman driving the Lumina.

The woman’s husband and two friends in the Lumina were critically injured and flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash. Names are being withheld pending notification of families. State Police at Kittanning are investigating the crash.
