SUNBURY, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY – Evidence is mounting that Miranda Barbour, the 19-year-old who claims to have killed 22 people as part of a Satanic cult, may be lying.

The Church of Satan High Priest says Barbour was not a member, and they keep membership lists restricted to adults.
Barbour claims she first killed someone at 13. The church is also taking issue with her claim of killing so many people in a short amount of time.

“In this post 9-11 world the idea that there could be a murderous cult out there… which means they’re organized and going out there and murdering folks, how’s that going to escape law enforcement?” said Magus Peter H. Gilmore, Church of Satan High Priest. “Especially if there’s over 22.”

Police departments in other states, including Alaska where Barbour claims to have killed several people, have found no evidence of unsolved murders to corroborate her story.
