State College Police Investigating Reports of Assaults

STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY - State College Police are investigating four reports of alleged assaults over the weekend.

Police say 20 year-old Michael Angeleri faces felony charges of aggravated assault and misdemeanor simple assault and harassment charges from a choking incident involving a female Penn State student. Police say it happened at the Sigma Pi fraternity house and was reported around 4:50 Saturday afternoon.

Police are also investigating an alleged indecent assault that happened Saturday night around 6:30 in the 200 block of K Alley. Police say a woman reported an unknown man came up behind her, bear hugged her and attempted to pull down her pants while groping her below the waist.

Police do not have a suspect at this time.

Another man reported being assaulted by an unknown male on the 400 block of East College Avenue early Sunday morning.

Police say the man has several cuts on his face and a chipped tooth.

State College Police say a woman reported she was assaulted early Sunday morning in a separate incident at the intersection of Easterly Parkway and Garner Street.

Police say she told them she was allegedly hit twice in her left jaw around 2:45 a.m. Police say she didn't appear to have marks on her face and didn't seek medical treatment.
