"If they're going to do that, I would encourage my children to work at Starbucks," says Shannon Murray, a Starbucks consumer.
The company announced their employees who work at least 20 hours a week qualify for a reimbursement if they enroll in Arizona State University's online program.
"Those types of partnerships offer tremendous value," says Bill Harvey, Penn State's Senior Director of Marketing Research and Strategy Outreach Marketing and Communications. "They provide employees, who typically don't get tuition reimbursement, benefits and an opportunity to obtain a bachelor's degree. At the same time, Starbucks has the opportunity to be able to hire and retain pretty good employees because they're offering a high quality benefit."
Penn State offers a similar program for Siemens employees through their World Campus Alliance Program.
