LEWISTOWN, MIFFLIN COUNTY – A 7-year-old boy was flown to a Harrisburg-area hospital after being hit by a pickup truck while riding his skateboard Monday evening.

Mifflin County Regional Police Department says the 7-year-old was riding a skateboard down a driveway along the 1900 block of Glenwood Avenue when he rode into the street and into the direct path of a Ford F-250.

The boy suffered head trauma and several fractures in the collision and was airlifted by Life Lion Helicopter to Hershey Medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the Ford, a 37-year-old Lewistown man, will not face charges.
