Another Republican candidate has announced his intentions to unseat U.S. Sen. Bob Casey in 2018.
State Rep. Jim Christiana, 33, of Beaver County made his announcement on Facebook. Christiana called Sen. Casey a part of Washington's "status quo".
Christiana has served in Harrisburg since 2009 and says he will ensure that government works to live within its means and work to fix a broken education system.
The first GOP challenger to enter the U.S. Senate race was State Rep. Rick Saccone. The 59-year-old from Allegheny County has served in Harrisburg since 2011.
