EBENSBURG, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- A number of county employees, both past and present went to the courthouse Friday to say goodbye to someone known as the heart and soul of the building.

Pam McCall has walked through the Cambria County Courthouse doors for 35 years.  She has worked under five district attorneys’, many who are now judges.

“I was 19 turning 20 when I started here,” said McCall.

"I can tell you Pam became more to me than just a co-worker,” said District Attorney Kelly Callihan, “She's a friend almost like a sister…and at times she has that motherly- influence."

"She started right out of high school and I can honestly say her energy level hasn't changed at all in 35 years,” said Tim Creany, President Judge.  ‘She’s been a good friend, great employee and I hope she enjoys retirement as much as she enjoyed working here.”

McCall is one of the longest working employees in the DA’s office.

“I am ready to move on spend time with my grandkids,” said McCall.  “I am really going to miss everyone here.”

McCall’s last day is in two weeks.

“She’ll be hard to replace,” said Callihan.
