Reward offered after thousands of dollars in items stolen from animal sanctuary

Punxsutawney, Jefferson County, Pa. - Punxsutawney State Police are looking for the person that stole thousands of dollars in items from the Godot Animal Sanctuary.

The owner says more than $45,000 of personal items and animal care items were taken from her 160 acre lot sometime in early October.

The sanctuary is a charity to underprividged domestic and wildlife animals. She says the burglary has caused a major setback to the non profit, and the animals are the ones that suffer.

"The fact that we have been put in this position has effected them, and our ability to perhaps and do rescues. If we are financially impacted perhaps we can't save some animals because we are having to place our funds elsewhere," says Lana Laughbaum.

A $3,000 reward is being offered for anyone who can help in an arrest of this case.
