Punxsutawney man charged with theft and forgery of employer

Punxsutawney, Jefferson County, Pa. - Wednesday morning at the Jefferson County District Court in Punxsutawney  Larry Depp was arraigned on theft and forgery charges.
The 47 year old Punxsutawney man is accused of stealing nearly a quarter of a million dollars in materials while working as a supervisor at Production Abrasives in Hamilton. The arrest comes after an investigation started in December of last year.
Police say Depp was producing fake orders under names of their customers for over two years starting back in January 2014.
According to court documents, Depp is accused of putting in more than 50 false orders and stealing other company materials- like sanding discs- totaling to nearly 250 thousand dollars.
Depp was arraigned Wednesday on charges including unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and four counts of forgery.
State police say that even though an arrest has been made, the investigation still continues in Punxsutawney.
We have reached out to Production Abrasives, and they are still working to release a statement.
