Police: Children Found Living in Filth

ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Police say they found four children living in deplorable conditions inside an Altoona home.

A hang up 911 call lead them to the home at 114 East 6th Avenue at 1 a.m. Sunday. Officers said April Greene answered the door and appeared to be highly intoxicated.

According to the criminal complaint, there were empty vodka bottles, piles of dirty laundry and trash, feces smeared on the walls and the home smelled of vomit.

The children's father, John Mattiello was also arrested for endangering the welfare of children. The children living inside that home were ages 4, 2, and 10 month old twins.

They were taken to the hospital to be checked out. One of the kids has a serious medical conditions that requires constant care.
