HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY - People still want answers after their police chief is off the job.

A little less than two weeks ago the Hollidaysburg Police Chief was put on administrative leave. Tuesday the borough officially accepted his retirement. But no one is still saying why.

Carolyn Hetrick was one of several people who asked the Hollidaysburg Borough Council why Jeff Ketner was no longer going to be the police chief. The borough didn't answer and that upset a lot of people in the crowd.

Hollidaysburg's Attorney Dave Andrews says both sides agreed not to talk about why Ketner was leaving. And he says the borough did not violate the sunshine law because the mayor placed Chief Ketner on paid leave and no votes were taken in private.

Tuesday night the borough council voted unanimously to accept his resignation. Ketner will get around 25 thousand plus some benefits.

Ketner officially retires from the borough on August first.
