PHILADELPHIA – The Pittsburgh Penguins are set to pick 22nd overall in Friday evening’s NHL Draft, the same position they had in the 2013 draft.

In the 2013 draft, the Pens selected defenseman Olli Maata, who finished 2nd among the Pens’ defensemen in assists, point and blocked shots.

In addition to the 22nd overall pick, the Penguins have selections in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh rounds. The Penguins’ second and third round picks were traded away in the Douglas Murray and Lee Stempniak trades.

The 2014 NHL Draft is being held in Philadelphia June 27-28. The Florida Panthers have the first overall pick. The Philadelphia Flyers have the 17th overall pick.
