Pennsylvania Learns Launched

HARRISBURG - With kids throughout the region getting set to head back to school, Governor Tom Corbett announced a new way for schools to use technology to help in the classroom.

The governor was joined by lawmakers and teachers Tuesday to launch Pennsylvania Learns on I-Tunes. The free, apple-based catalog provides educational content to help teachers create lectures, assignments and other interactive tools for students to use. Governor Corbett says the program was a nearly year long process designed to help students, parents and teachers with a no cost, high quality resource.

"It's created by PA teachers for PA students. Pennsylvania Learns will keep our students actively engaged in learning help increase student achievement and build a better future for our most precious resource. Our children," Governor Tom Corbett says.

Pennsylvania Learns can be downloaded on any Apple product through the iTunes store.
