For the first time ever, Penn State is offering variable pricing for single-game football tickets.
They say fans have been asking for something like this and they listened. They're going to look at factors like how much demand there is for each individual game when setting ticket prices. Some of those single game tickets will be as low 40 dollars. Last year single game tickets only went as low as 75 dollars no matter who the opponent was.
The university will announce how much single game tickets for Nittany Lion Club Members will be later this week. The new variable pricing won't affect Nittany Lion Club donations.
The Athletics Department says they looked at tickets in direct sales and how much they were going for on secondary sites. They say they also listed to what fans had to say about ticket prices.
